ANNOUNCEMENTS

If you have flu like symptoms to please phone ahead and advise our reception staff
New Patients: We are currently NOT accepting new patients to the practice, as the Doctors are at their capacity.

APPOINTMENTS

Consultations can be Face to Face or by Telephone. A Telephone consultation with your doctor is only available for or an obvious problem characterized by the straightforward nature. Medicare requirement for a Telephone consultation is, you must have seen your doctor face to face in the last 12 months. Face to Face & Telephone appointments can be made in advance or on the day.

Long appointments for more complex problems can be accommodated, please advise our receptionist when making your appointment. Time is valuable to all of us, so be sure to notify us if you are unable to keep your appointment. If you fail to attend appointments, we cannot guarantee a future appointment. Walk-ins will be triaged by our practice nurse. Urgent cases will be seen on the day. Language interpreter services are available.

HOME & NURSING HOME VISITS

Our doctors regularly visit their nursing home patients. Home visits are available in extenuating circumstances. We ask you to phone the practice and our nurse will obtain details & confirm a convenient time with your doctor

COVID-19 & INFLUENZA ALERT

As per NSW public health order, if you have the following symptoms:
temperature/chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, loss of taste or smell, muscle or body aches, night sweats, headache/sinus, sore/scratchy throat, congestion/runny nose, nausea, diarrhoea, or hoarse voice, you will not be permitted to enter the practice.
Please tell our receptionist if you have any of the above symptoms

• COVID-19 VACCINATION

Recommendations from the Australian Technical Advisory Group (ATAGI) on Immunisation regarding COVID-19 boosters in 2023 for:
• From 20th February 2023
• All adults aged 65 years and over
• Adults aged 18-64 years who have medical comorbidities that increase their risk of severe COVID-19, or disability with significant or complex health needs.
• ATAGI advises these groups to consider a 2023 booster dose if their last COVID-19 vaccine dose or confirmed infection (whichever is the most recent) was 6 months ago or longer, and regardless of the number of prior doses received, based on an individual risk benefit assessment with your doctor.

AFTER HOURS & EMERGENCY
For non-urgent medical assistance after hours, call the Southern Highlands GP After Hours Service to receive a call back from a doctor on 4861 6433.
Dr Senior & Dr Grice participate in the SHGPAHS roster. The Southern Highlands GP After Hours Service is located at 21 St. Jude St, Bowral & is open on Saturday 3pm-5pm & Sunday & Public Holidays 9am-12pm then 3pm-5pm - No appointment is necessary

Practice Schedule of Fees - as of 1st August 2024

The practice will trial Bulk Billing the following patients until the end of 2024:
●Pension & Concession Card holders
●Children up to 16 years of age
(Excluding: biopsies, excisions, iron infusions and your initial consultation)

All other patients are expected to pay a standard fee which is beyond the Medicare rebate.
Patients who pay on the day will be issued with a receipt. This receipt is electronically sent to
Medicare and your refund will appear in your account within 48 hours.
Fees and item numbers are determined not only by time but can include any of the following clinically relevant: taking a patient history, performing a clinical examination; arranging any necessary investigation; implementing a management plan; providing appropriate preventive health care; in relation to 1 or more health-related issues, with appropriate documentation.
